As the four-month fishing moratorium in the Bohai Sea and Yellow Sea comes to an end on Thursday, fishermen were busy on Monday checking their boats, mending nets, replenishing fuel and restocking ice at Shidao fishing port in Rongcheng, a county-level city of Weihai, Shandong province.

The summer fishing moratorium is part of China's effort to promote sustainable fishery development and improve the marine ecology.
