Jan-July software revenue rises 10%
China's software industry reported a 10.3 percent increase in business revenues in the first seven months of the year, according to official data. Revenues totaled 5.46 trillion yuan ($789 billion) from January to July, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said. Companies in the sector raked in 569.8 billion yuan in combined profits during the period, up 6.6 percent year-on-year. During the period, China's software exports amounted to $29.8 billion, up 4.3 percent year-on-year.
Balance of loans up in Yangtze delta
The balance of loans in the Yangtze River Delta region was 54.77 trillion yuan ($7.91 trillion) at the end of July, up 14.1 percent year-on-year. The balance of loans in Chinese yuan reached 53.49 trillion yuan at the end of July, up 14.3 percent year-on-year, according to the People's Bank of China Shanghai Head Office. The balance of foreign currency loans reached $189.5 billion at the end of July, up 0.5 percent year-on-year. The balance of the region's deposits stood at 66.7 trillion yuan at the end of July, up 12.7 percent year-on-year.
