Changchun Air Show kicks off in Jilin
The 2022 Grand Open House Event of the People's Liberation Army Air Force and Changchun Air Show kicked off on Friday in Changchun, Jilin province, providing fans of military aviation a magnificent showcase.
The air show features flight performances of some new aircraft in different types in active service with the Air Force, such as the J-20 fighter jet and the Y-20 transport plane.
Paratroopers also demonstrated skydiving.
It was the ninth large-scale open house event put on by the Air Force since it started hosting them 2011. The venue, Changchun, is a city historically significant to the Air Force.
In March 1946, the first flight school of the Communist Party of China armed forces was set up in Tonghua, Jilin, moving later to Changchun. The school is regarded as the top training facility of the Chinese Air Force.
