Gu'an International Trade City just opened to business, attracting more than 4,000 merchants who used to run business in Beijing's wholesale markets in urban areas.

As a key project in Hebei province, the city is one of the latest examples of the integration of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei cooperative development and the undertaking of the non-capital function of Beijing.

The development of the project consists of three parts - the Business Valley, the Cultural and Creative Valley, and the Wisdom Valley. As the first-phase construction of the Business Valley, the city has a total construction area of about 1.04 million square meters and positions itself as "the fashion center of northern China". The city, which opened to business on August 18, now is the largest wholesale market in the northern China with the most complete categories and best-serviced professional trade, covering all age groups and satisfying one-stop purchasing demands.

At present, the city has absorbed manufacturers of numerous industrial zones across the nation, as well as more than 4,000 merchants who used to be based in Dahongmen and other business circles in Beijing. They will provide merchants with a variety of high-quality and efficient services, and support the future synergistic development of Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei in the areas of trade and logistics.

Meanwhile, the city will create a new trade ecosystem of "physical and digital integration," as well as a one-stop shopping and experiencing platform to satisfy the demand for all-channel sales and procurement.

Due to its easy access to transit, Gu'an International Trade City has gained the favor of more and more consumers and merchants since its soft opening. The trade city has opened direct bus lines, free shuttles, and other transportation in order to satisfy their demands. To draw additional downstream retailers, about 200 bus lines that go directly to more than 300 northern cities and counties have been built.
