Amid heat wave, freshmen get warm welcome

Wuhan University in Wuhan, Hubei province, welcomed freshmen on Thursday. The university enrolled a total of 7,393 undergraduate students this year, the university said.

Despite the scorching heat, faculty members, including the university's president, Dou Xiankang, and many volunteers greeted the young people early in the morning and provided a warm welcome to the new students.
