Georgian athlete Tsotne Bezhashvili claimed a gold medal at the European Bench Press Championships in Budapest, the Georgian Powerlifting Federation announced on Saturday.
The 37-year-old competitor earned the gold after lifting 165 kg at the competition in the Hungarian capital.
Bezhashvili set a world record in the powerlifting discipline 10 years ago in the Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih after lifting 175 kg in the 67 kg weight category.
