Fuel retail prices to stay unchanged
China will not raise retail prices for gasoline and diesel in the next two months, even if international crude oil prices exceed $130 per barrel, the National Development and Reform Commission said on Wednesday. The price cap is meant to reduce burdens on downstream users and consumers while reducing operational costs of the real economy, the NDRC said. If the international crude oil price remains above $130 per barrel for more than two months, the government will clarify relevant policies and measures in advance.
