Iran team arrives in Doha for nuclear talks
The Iranian ambassador to Qatar said on Tuesday the country's negotiating team, headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani, has arrived in Doha for the resumption of the talks on the revival of the Iranian nuclear deal after a three-month pause. Hamidreza Dehghani made the remarks in a post on his Twitter account to welcome Bagheri Kani and his accompanying team to the Qatari capital. Earlier on Monday, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said the nuclear negotiations will be held indirectly with the United States, and facilitated by the European Union. The nuclear talks have been suspended since March over political differences between Teheran and Washington.

Global monkeypox cases amount to over 3,400
More than 3,400 confirmed monkeypox cases and one death were reported to the World Health Organization as of last Wednesday, with the majority of them from Europe, the agency said in an update on Monday. The WHO said that since June 17, 1,310 new cases were reported to the agency, with eight new countries reporting monkeypox cases. The Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has called on African countries to remain vigilant against the spread of the monkeypox virus. The Africa CDC warned that the technical and financial resources required to effectively respond to monkeypox in Africa are not yet optimally mobilized.
