Yanks rally to dodge another no-hitter
DJ LeMahieu hit a tying two-run homer with two outs in the eighth inning and Aaron Judge hit a three-run walk-off homer in the 10th as the New York Yankees went from potentially being no-hit for the second straight day to rallying for a 6-3 victory over the Houston Astros on Sunday afternoon at Yankee Stadium.
The Yankees gained a split of the series against the American League West leaders a day after Cristian Javier combined with Hector Neris and Ryan Pressly on a no-hitter Saturday afternoon. Both of the Yankees' wins in the series came via walk-off hits by Judge, whose ninth-inning single won Thursday's series opener.

Bale faces paperwork wait to finalize move
John Thorrington confirmed on Sunday that Gareth Bale is joining Los Angeles FC. The timing of when that will happen remains a bit unclear.
Thorrington, LAFC's co-president and general manager, said after Sunday's match against the New York Red Bulls he is hopeful Welshman Bale can arrive stateside in the next week to 10 days once all the immigration paperwork is completed.
Bale will be eligible to make his LAFC debut after the secondary transfer window opens July 7.The club's first match after the window opens is against archrival LA Galaxy on July 8.

Blazers guarantee Hart's $13m salary
The Portland Trail Blazers have fully guaranteed Josh Hart's near-$13 million salary for the 2022-23 season, The Oregonian reported Saturday.
The team was facing a Saturday deadline per Hart's contract, according to spotrac.com.
Hart, a swingman, is entering the second season of a three-year, $37.9 million deal he signed with the New Orleans Pelicans in August 2021.
There is a mutual option for $12.96 million in 2023-24 as part of the contract.
The Trail Blazers acquired Hart from the Pelicans in February as part of the deal in which CJ McCollum was sent to New Orleans.

Jackson rockets to sprint double at trials
Shericka Jackson delivered on her promise to produce something special in the women's 200m with a world-leading 21.55 seconds on Sunday's final day of the Jamaican National Athletics Championships.
Jamaican track stars produced the third-fastest event ever at the world team trials in the national stadium at Kingston, with Jackson completing the 100-200 sprint double impressively.
After Friday's 100m victory, Jackson surprised herself with a 200m performance that trails only US legend Florence Griffith-Joyner's 34-year-old world record of 21.34 and the Jamaican record of 21.53 set by Elaine Thompson-Herah at Tokyo 2020.
