Charity walk, art show to raise funds for young patients

Together with an online charity art show, a charity walk campaign launched by Roche Pharma is aiming to raise 1 million yuan for a fund for young patients suffering from critical illnesses nationwide this year starting in June.
Launched in June each year, the charity walk was introduced to China in 2010 and has raised more than 7 million yuan in total for 3,300 young patients.
The online charity art show, themed with "celebrate life" has collected more than 30 drawings from young patients who have benefited from the fund. The youngest artist is 4.
Roche worked with the Ai You Foundation to send about 1,400 charity knits including hospital necessities to young patients and their families over the past year.
The fund began to focus on critical patients from families with financial problems in 2019. In 2021, the fund went to 35 patients suffering from diseases like leukemia and leukemic lymphoma from 16 provinces and municipalities nationwide.
Critical illnesses like congenital heart disease, blood disease and malignant tumors are posing threats to young patients and their families, both financially and mentally.
