Renewable energy capacity expands
China's installed capacity of renewable energy registered fast growth in the first four months as the country works to reach its carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals. In the January-April period, wind power capacity jumped 17.7 percent year-on-year to around 340 million kilowatts, while solar farms saw capacity hit 320 million kW, an increase of 23.6 percent, according to the National Energy Administration.
Service outsourcing sector reports growth
China's service outsourcing industry posted steady expansion in the first four months, data from the Ministry of Commerce showed. Chinese firms inked service outsourcing contracts worth 589.9 billion yuan ($87.4 billion) during the January-April period, up 8.8 percent year-on-year. The executed contract value totaled 387.2 billion yuan, representing a year-on-year increase of 15.3 percent.
Toy exports in 2021 register five-year high
China, the world's top toy exporter, saw overseas toy sales grow 37.8 percent year-on-year in 2021, hitting a five-year high, industry statistics showed. China exported $46.12 billion worth of toys in 2021, according to a white paper released by the China Toy& Juvenile Products Association. The United States remained the top destination for China's toy exports, surging 57.3 percent year-on-year to $13.48 billion.
