Big data online expo slated for May 26
The China International Big Data Industry Expo 2022 is scheduled to be held online on May 26, the event's organizers said. For the past seven years, the event had been hosted by the city of Guiyang in Southwest China's Guizhou province. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it will take the form of an online conference this year, the organizers said.
Warehouse storage sector contracts
China's warehouse storage market shrank in April due to COVID-19 disruptions, according to a survey jointly released by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing and CMST Development Co Ltd. The index tracking the sector's development dropped 0.4 percentage point from March to 46.5 percent, the survey showed. A reading above 50 percent indicates expansion, while one below 50 percent reflects contraction.
