Manhunt underway after axe attacks kill 3
Israeli security forces were waging a massive manhunt on Friday for two Palestinians suspected of carrying out an axe rampage near Tel Aviv that left three Israelis dead. Two Palestinians armed with axes attacked passersby in central Israel on Thursday night, killing at least three people and wounding four others before fleeing the scene, authorities said. The attacks on Thursday, Israel's Independence Day, were the latest in a series of deadly assaults deep inside the country in recent weeks.

New hepatitis case in toddler confirmed
Panamanian health authorities on Thursday confirmed a case of acute hepatitis in a two-year-old boy that corresponds to an alert issued by the WHO and the Pan American Health Organization in late April. Lourdes Moreno, national head of epidemiology at the Health Ministry, said that she received the confirmation from the Gorgas Memorial Institute of Health Studies, and that the boy from the province of East Panama is out of danger after hospitalization.
