GREEN MOVE

The Ritz-Carlton Sanya, Yalong Bay in South China's Hainan province, launched an environmental program in late March. Involving itself in the worldwide Earth Hour environmental campaign, it promotes healthy lifestyles. The five-star resort in the heart of Yalong Bay began to assist the local government in beach restoration in early March. That has spawned the hotel's environmental program, which has designed a variety of daily activities, such as camping and picking coconuts. This helps family travelers raise their environmental awareness and promote beach protection. During the launch ceremony, participants gathered at the beach by the hotel at twilight. There they wrote comments about their daytime activities, as well as their wishes for the environment, on a piece of paper given to them. The paper was made of the hotel's recycled office paper, using a traditional papermaking method.

CULINARY DELIGHT

Le Meridien Hangzhou, Binjiang is offering a spring flower-inspired afternoon tea at its lobby lounge. Dessert chefs at the hotel in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, have integrated seasonal flavors into the new offering. This includes sakura cheesecake, matcha eclairs and dark chocolate-strawberry mousse, awakening guests' taste buds, according to the hotel.
