US inflation reaches 41-year high

The US Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 8.5 percent in March, up from 7.9 percent in February and at the highest level in more than 40 years, marking the sixth consecutive month that the index has exceeded 6 percent, the Labor Department said Tuesday.
