Wine drinker gets jail time for insurrection
A New Hampshire man who swilled wine and stole a book while storming the US Capitol last year was sentenced to 90 days in jail on Monday. Jason Riddle pleaded guilty in November to two misdemeanors, theft of government property, and parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building. Riddle, who was sentenced in federal court in Washington, DC, was also fined over $700.

Train collision kills 5, with over 10 injured
Five people were killed and more than 10 injured after a truck collided with a small passenger train in southern Hungary early on Tuesday morning, said police. The accident occurred at about 7:00 am local time when a small truck carrying workers drove into rail tracks and was hit by a small motor train en route from Szentes to Hodmezovasarhely. After the crash, police closed the affected road during the on-site inspection and rescue.
SOUTH KOREA
Consumer prices hit 10-year high
Consumer prices in South Korea grew at the fastest pace for more than a decade in March, showed official data on Tuesday. The reading ramped up expectations that the Bank of Korea will lift interest rates at its next meeting to bring the price rises under control. The consumer price index jumped 4.1 percent on year, the fastest pace since December 2011, according to Statistics Korea, with officials warning it could go even higher. It also marked the 12th consecutive rise, said Statistics Korea official Eo Woon-sun.
