Migratory birds stop over in Ningxia

In early spring, hundreds of thousands of migratory birds, including wild geese and red-crested pochards stop over at Tianhewan National Wetland Park, located at Pingluo county of the Ningxia Hui autonomous region.

Ningxia has invested over 25 million yuan ($3.94 million) on protecting the ecological environment of the park in recent years.

The park boasts 3,860 hectares of wetland nurtured by the Yellow River. It is home to 268 species of plants and 186 species of birds.
