CNOOC deepwater platform installed

Haiji One, Asia's first 300-meter deepwater jacket designed and built independently by China National Offshore Oil Corp, was successfully hauled onto a barge in the South China Sea on Tuesday. This represents a major breakthrough in the jacket design and a milestone in the construction of a super large offshore oil and gas platform in China.

SOEs report steady revenue, profit growth

China's centrally administered State-owned enterprises reported steady revenue and profit growth in the first two months, according to the country's top State asset regulator. The combined revenues of 97 central SOEs reached 5.7 trillion yuan ($894 billion) from January to February, up 17.6 percent year-on-year, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council said in a statement on Tuesday. During the period, total profits of these companies reached 367.87 billion yuan, expanding 20.6 percent year-on-year, with net profits growing 20.4 percent to 282.17 billion yuan.

Oppo 5G phones debut in Saudi Arabia

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo has introduced its Reno7 series 5G phones in Saudi Arabia, marking the first launch of the brand's series in the Middle East market. The Reno7 series of phones, unveiled in the Boulevard City of Riyadh Season on Sunday, feature laser direct imaging technology, which is being used for the first time in the mobile phone industry, according to Saleh Ma, brand director of Oppo Saudi Arabia.
