WordSkills 2022 maiden flight takes off

A China Eastern Airlines aircraft-themed WorldSkills Shanghai 2022 made its maiden flight on Friday, taking off from Shanghai's Hongqiao International Airport for Beijing Capital International Airport.
The aircraft's body is painted with WorldSkills Shanghai 2022 motifs and the 46th WorldSkills' mascots Neng Neng and Qiao Qiao. The two mascots are seen posing with open arms and a raised thumb, symbolizing China's openness to the world as this year's event welcomes competitors and guests from around the world.
The 212 passengers on board will enjoy an immersive experience throughout the trip. China Eastern chose the Airbus A330-200 for the event because of its excellent performance and cabin comfort level which makes it ideal for both domestic and international travel. "I am so proud that this year's WorldSkills will take place in my hometown Shanghai, and we earnestly welcome international participants to visit Shanghai," said Chen Yifan,a flight attendant with China Eastern Airlines, who took part in the 44th WorldSkills competition in 2017.
According to the official website of the event, during WorldSkills Shanghai 2022, from Oct 12 to Oct 17, young people from around the world will visit Shanghai to compete in 63 skill competitions.
