Tibet's 5G users exceed 1 million
The number of 5G users in Southwest China's Tibet autonomous region has hit some 1.08 million, with 5G base stations totaling 6,660. In 2021, the region built 3,083 5G base stations and promoted the application of the 5G+ Industrial Internet in primary sectors, including medical care and logistics, said the Tibet Autonomous Region Communications Administration.
Coal output rises during holiday
China's coal output increased during the seven-day Spring Festival holiday amid the country's efforts to keep coal production and supplies stable, the country's top economic regulator said. During the holiday, the daily output, supply and transportation of coal all saw increases from the same holiday period of the previous year, providing strong support for coal demand during the holiday, the National Development and Reform Commission said.
PBOC conducts reverse repos
China's central bank on Wednesday conducted 20 billion yuan ($3.14 billion) of reverse repos to maintain liquidity in the banking system. The interest rate for the seven-day reverse repos was set at 2.1 percent, according to the People's Bank of China.
