Regional coordinated efforts accelerate in Binhai

Binhai-Zhongguancun Science Park, an exemplar of coordinated innovation in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region in Tianjin’s Binhai New Area, is welcoming 12 new players in the healthcare, intelligent technology, new material and service sectors.

In 2021, the science park saw an increase of over 1,000 members to hit 3,000 in total. Most of them are focused on high-tech and green development.

Last year, companies in the park saw notable development in revenues, among which strategic emerging industries saw income growth of 248 percent.

On Tuesday, a fund by Binhai and Zhongguancun for supporting high-tech companies in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region was announced with an initial sum of 300 million yuan($47.45 million). It is aimed at boosting development driven by innovation and upgrading of industrial chains in the region.
