Yuan Tiantian is a professor and vice-dean of Tianjin University of Technology's Technical College for the Deaf.

She received her bachelor's degree in education technology at Tianjin Normal University in 2006 and a PhD in technology of computer application at Nankai University in 2012.

Her research focus includes computer vision, computer education for the deaf and internet of things.

She has led her student team to win the top award of the North China Computing Application Competition in 2016, the Golden Award at the seventh China International "Internet plus" University Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition in 2021 and the Second-level Award of the seventh National Youth Science Popularization and Innovation Experiment and Project Competition in 2021.

She went to the National Technical Institute for the Deaf at the US' Rochester Institute of Technology as a visiting scholar in 2017.

She advocated for her university to team with the China Association of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and the National Sign Language Digital Promotion Center to set up the Non-barrier Intelligent Research Center in 2021.
