At Tianjin Foreign Studies University, two Tajikistan students, Boboev Hakimbeg and Bobozoda Fozilbeg, volunteer to assist the school in protecting international students from infectious Covid-19 variants. They helped in organizing protective measures and processes such as nucleic acid tests, temperature measurement, and replenishing daily supplies.

"In the face of the outbreak, the anti-virus measures carried out in Tianjin are rapid and effective. The teachers organized us to conduct nucleic acid screening at the fastest speed. Once again, I felt the speed of China. China is very strong, and Tianjin can definitely manage the outbreak," said Boboev Hakimbeg.

"We are foreigners, but we aren't outsiders. Faced with the infectious Omicron, we feel we should fight with Tianjin people and contribute our part," said one international student.
At the Jinan Campus of Tianjin University, the third round of overall screening for its 15,000 students began on Wednesday evening.
A volunteer team has been sending hot drinks, tea and heating pads to doctors and volunteers who are giving the nucleic acid tests since Jan 10.

The team nicknamed itself as congyoubing, or "onion oil pie", a popular snack in China.
The "pie" team said they hope to give the doctors warm consolation and a special surprise when they see their gifts.
The COVID-19 outbreak in Tianjin is controllable, as effective and concrete prevention and control measures are being implemented, although the risk of spread in local communities still exists, a senior disease prevention and control official from the municipality said on Wednesday.
