Monkey King's face appears in unusual place

An aerial photo of the Qinglongzui road interchange in Chongqing — which resembles the face of the Monkey King, Sun Wukong — went viral online recently.
Netizens have dubbed it the WuKong Interchange, and the name may stick.
"We didn't realize it looked like Wukong's face until auxiliary road bridges were connected recently, showing Wukong's forehead and chin lines," said Gong Xia of consulting company T.Y. Lin International Engineering.
Gong said the roads are part of a "butterfly interchange" formed by Kexue Avenue and Gaoxin Avenue, a hub in Chongqing's Science City.
She said the "eyes" are two left-turn ring ramps, and the contours of both faces are left-turn semi-directional ramps designed as early as 2013. The two auxiliary bridges were added more recently to connect the vehicle, pedestrian and slow traffic system of the Kexue Avenue auxiliary road.
Gong said there are other butterfly interchanges in the municipality, but none of them have auxiliary bridges to make a resemblance.
