SOE cares for young staff members
China Tiesiju Civil Engineering Group is devising better ways to care for its 23,360-odd staff members-especially young employees who account for some 60 percent of the total-to help sustain the progress of the 71-year-old State-owned enterprise. As the young are often sent around the world to build projects and thus sometimes encounter trouble finding spouses, one way to care for them is to act a matchmaker to help them find soul mates among other SOEs or government institutions based in Hefei, Anhui province, where CTCE is headquartered. Another way is to offer interest-free loans to each staffer who may happen to have a serious illness, besides basic medical insurance.
