Online event launched to create more opportunities for textile suppliers

Made-in-China.com, a leading comprehensive service platform for foreign trade, has joined hands with business chambers and exhibition enterprises to launch a 15-day online direct purchase event for the textile industry.
Textile is an important sector for the Chinese manufacturing industry. As the peak season at the end of the year approaches, there will be a lot of promotions at e-commerce platforms. The move aims to create more business opportunities for Chinese textile suppliers, the company said.
Official customs data showed Chinese textile and apparel exports totaled $227.59 billion during the first three quarters, up 5.6 percent year-on-year to a historic high.
The online direct purchase event is an innovation by Made-in-China.com to bridge quality buyers with the supply side more precisely and achieve win-win results, an unnamed executive of the company said. He added that only quality buyers achieving high scores within the company's assessment could be invited to the event.
During the event, staff members of the company will provide one-for-one services such as translation to the sellers and buyers, to boost the participants' communication efficiency, and therefore increase the signing of deals.
There will be around 600 one-for-one online purchase meetings during the event, which is part of the broader efforts of Made-in-China.com to promote the development of related industries. It has set aside 50 million yuan ($7.8 million) of funds for the purpose.
