A livestream hosted by Communist Party of China members and cadres from Wenzhou, Zhejiang province on Nov 29 to provide an overview of the sixth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee drew 15,575 participants from home and abroad.

Netizens from Tanzania and Zambia, as well as students and teachers from a Chinese language school in France attended the Q&A session.

Zhang Jigui, a member of the National People's Congress, said that the session was inspiring. "The major achievements and historical experience of the Party over the past century were presented in a clear, complete, and systemic manner just like a shining lamp guiding the future.”

Shi Qiangrui, an overseas cultural exchange officer, said that China's promising development prospects have been unveiled by its policies like deepening reform and opening-up, as well as striving for common prosperity.

"Chinese, overseas Chinese, and foreign media were all eyes on the Party session. It has become a popular topic resonating with the international community," Shi said.

He added that he was delighted to see China and his hometown embracing robust development in recent years, adding that he will be encouraged to tell Chinese stories to more international audiences.

The livestream was also promoted by overseas Chinese associations and Wenzhou's newly-appointed overseas exchange officers, as well as aired via a variety of overseas Chinese media platforms.
