Chongqing posts robust trade growth

Foreign trade of Chongqing municipality totaled 643.52 billion yuan ($100.84 billion) from January to October, up 25 percent year-on-year, according to Customs data. Chongqing's exports grew 25.8 percent to 411.6 billion yuan during the period, while its imports increased to 231.9 billion yuan, up 23.5 percent.

Cable suspension bridge being built

A cable suspension bridge with the largest span on the Huaihe River is being constructed in Anhui province in a bid to better integrate into the Yangtze River Delta region. China Tiesiju Civil Engineering Group will construct the 530-meter bridge. Starting in Henan province, the Huaihe also runs through Anhui and Jiangsu provinces before emptying into the sea. CTCE workers have started to drill riverbed supports for the bridge's main pier in Bengbu. The bridge is part of renovations of the Fengyang-Bengbu section of the G329 Expressway.
