Zhou Huiying has been appointed director of sales and marketing at Inter-Continental Beijing Beichen. With more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Zhou has gained a wealth of expertise from her prior managerial roles in various groups, including IHG, Kempinski and Hilton.
GRAND OPENINGS
Fairfield by Marriott Shanghai South Hongqiao opened on Oct 25. Located in the heart of the city's Minhang district, the hotel offers convenient access to the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), Shanghai New Hongqiao International Medical Center and the Hongqiao Hub. The opening is a testament to the increasing popularity of the Fairfield brand, the company said in a statement.
Hilton Yancheng opened its doors in East China's Jiangsu province on Oct 18. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and services, the hotel aims to meet the various needs of both business and leisure travelers, according to its management. The city of Yancheng earned its name as a site of salt production in ancient China. Nowadays it is an emerging business hub in the Yangtze River Delta region. With a vast expanse of mudflats, Yancheng is home to the Migratory Bird Sanctuaries along the Coast of the Yellow Sea-Bohai Gulf, as well as two national nature reserves for the protection of elks and red-crowned cranes.
MEET UP WITH ART
Wanda Reign Wuhan in Central China's Hubei province opened its Reign Gallery with the first art exhibition called Chenghuai on Monday. Artworks by 14 contemporary Chinese painters are on display at the exhibition till the end of December. Introducing such artworks to the hotel, the gallery, open to the public free of charge, aims to promote art and its integration into daily lives, according to the hotel.

Shangri-La Shenyang is back for the fifth year of its "Crab Hunting Season", presenting the prosperity of autumn with the lively flavors of Huaiyang cuisine that are popular in Jiangsu province; Cantonese cuisine that prevails in Guangdong province, Hong Kong and Macao; and other styles. The dishes on offer combine the culinary essence of tradition and innovation. Four new special dishes developed by Shangri-La chefs have been added to this year's offerings, so that guests who love hairy crabs can enjoy the seasonal delicacies, reminiscent of autumn.
