Digital yuan makes trade fair debut

China's digital fiat currency, the e-CNY, is being used in restaurants, booths and vending machines for the first time at the fourth China International Import Expo. Bank of China has set up six booths at the massive trade show to help people apply for digital yuan wallets.

Germany's Miji unveils integrated stove

German kitchen appliance company Miji International Holdings debuted an integrated stove during the fourth China International Import Expo. The company said the stove is energy-efficient and helps China meet its carbon neutrality pledges. A fourth-time participant at the CIIE, Miji has taken into consideration the typical dietary preferences and the unique cooking habits in Chinese kitchens, where stir-frying is commonplace.
