Students in Nankai Uni show anti-poverty products in remote county

"Hi, do you want to try the sweet potatoes, come on!" "Come and taste the apples from Zhuanglang. They are crispy and juicy!"
On Nov 5, students of the School of History, Nankai University, offered on-campus samples of apples and cooked potatoes, which are representative products of Zhuanglang, an interior county in Gansu province.

They highlighted the special parts of the county. They showcased calligraphy with brushes produced by the county, as well as illustrated the county’s history and culture by performing Tianjin clapper talk and small poems.
The county was paired with Nankai University in the poverty-alleviation campaign. The students, members of the Communist Youth League of China, tried to further consolidate anti-poverty fruit during one of the activities.

More and more teachers and students were attracted, and the students organized a knowledge contest with the themes "Nankai and Zhuanglang" and "Rural Revitalization Strategy". Contest winners got potted plants as prizes.
"I had a lot of feelings about participating in today's group day activities. My hometown is a relatively remote place. When I came to Nankai University to study, I should work hard to learn my skills and contribute to the revitalization of the countryside," said Yu Jiayi, an activity participant.
With the “Double Eleven” online shopping event around the corner, students of the School of History will use e-commerce platforms to carry out live broadcasts. They will promote potatoes, apples, brushes, and other products online.
