Honor launches first global phone after independence

Honor Device Co Ltd is bringing its first global phone to market after gaining independence from Huawei Technologies Co. The phone, the Honor 50, will be available for consumers in more than 40 markets, including Malaysia, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Czech Republic, Finland, Russia and Saudi Arabia.
The global availability of the Honor 50 reinforces Honor's ambitious overseas expansion plans following its successful launch in China earlier this year.
The Honor 50, unveiled in multiple markets in Europe, Africa and other regions on Tuesday, is equipped with Google Mobile Services and it is the first smartphone to feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 778G mobile platform.
Zhao Ming, CEO of Honor, said "Honor's market share reaching 16.2 percent in China this August fuels our confidence for its global success."
