Tesla opens R&D center in Shanghai

Tesla has opened its R&D innovation center, the first of its kind among the electric car company's overseas facilities, and a Gigafactory data center in Shanghai, Tesla China said. Tom Zhu, president of Tesla China, said the company has been practicing its commitment to deeply cultivating the Chinese market, adding that the R&D center will further promote Tesla's localization process in China. According to the plan, the R&D innovation center will carry out original development work for vehicles, charging equipment and energy products.

Eco-friendly homes coming to Bengbu

An industrial hub in East China's Anhui province is introducing green housing technology to provide better properties that can improve residents' living standards. Bengbu allows State-owned China Tiesiju Civil Engineering Group to start prefabricated house construction on an area of 117,600 square meters. The phase-two project of Bengbu Lakeside Garden covers eight resettlement residential buildings and other auxiliary buildings such as kindergartens and power distribution rooms. Unlike the traditional method, CTCE employees will prefabricate building components and accessories in the factory and transport them to the construction site, so as to realize modern industrialized production and target green housing.
