Xi urges notable progress in ecological protection, high-quality development of Yellow River basin

JINAN - President Xi Jinping on Friday urged notable progress in ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River basin during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025).

Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, made the remarks while addressing a symposium in Jinan, east China's Shandong Province.

Xi called for unremitting efforts to ensure that the Yellow River will always benefit the Chinese nation.
