Adidas donates aid to N China's Shanxi province

Global sportswear market leader Adidas donated 20 million yuan ($3.1 million) in cash and supplies to North China's Shanxi province, which suffered from heavy rainstorms recently.

The funds were donated to the province through the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation, with relief supplies on the way to the province.

At the same time, a spontaneous "Hope Group" of Adidas employees launched internal fundraising activities, purchasing and shipping 300 sets of relief supplies for the disaster-hit areas, including raincoats, rain boots and flashlights.

Adidas will always shoulder its corporate social responsibility and stand side-by-side with the people of Shanxi and the rescue workers on the frontlines at this difficult time, the company said.
