Sales of BYD's NEVs soar 276% in Sept
September sales of BYD, China's leading maker of new energy vehicles or NEVs, including purely electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, surged 276 percent year-on-year to 70,022 units, the Shenzhen-based company said in a statement on its website. In September, the company's sales of passenger vehicles rose 93 percent year-on-year to 79,037 units, it said.
Expressway segment opens, to boost BRI
A key section of the G213 national highway, dubbed a key project of the Belt and Road Initiative, has opened to traffic, breaking the transport bottleneck between landlocked Gansu and Qinghai provinces in Northwest China and boosting flow of goods and services. The Sunan-Qilian section, passing through the Qilian Mountains and built by the First Engineering of China Tiesiju Civil Engineering Group since June 2018, has an elevation of 4,200 meters with harsh geological conditions. Its construction involved very high risks, but was completed successfully nevertheless, to enhance traffic flow between Sunan Yugu autonomous county in Gansu and Qilian county in Qinghai.
