Geely unit, Volocopter in JV for aerial vehicles

German company Volocopter, a specialist in the manufacture of autonomous air vehicles, has teamed up with a second-tier subsidiary of Geely Holding Group to establish a joint venture－Volocopter (Chengdu) Technology Co Ltd or Volocopter Chengdu for short－in Chengdu, capital of Southwest China's Sichuan province. Volocopter Chengdu will take charge of production and market operations of Volocopter products in the China market. It plans to help promote urban air mobility in the coming three to five years.

Work on gas pipeline segment kicks off

China Oil& Gas Pipeline Network Corp, which is China's largest energy infrastructure owner and is also known as PipeChina, announced on Thursday the official commencement of the construction of the middle segment of the third West-to-East gas pipeline project. The company said the move is of great value for national energy security and carbon emission control. With a full length of 2,090 kilometers, the gas pipeline starts from Zhongwei in the Ningxia Hui autonomous region, to reach Ji'an in Jiangxi province.
