Carbon accounting working group set up
China's top economic regulator said on Tuesday that it has set up a carbon emission statistical accounting working group to coordinate carbon emission statistical and accounting work across regions and industries. The National Development and Reform Commission said the group aims to accelerate the establishment of a unified and standardized carbon emission statistical accounting system in the country. It will be jointly led by the NDRC and the National Bureau of Statistics. Other backers include the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Finance and other departments and associations.
Yili first-half gain rises 42% to $822m
Inner Mongolia-based Chinese dairy giant Yili Industrial Group Co Ltd disclosed to the Shanghai Stock Exchange on Tuesday that its first-half profit rose 42 percent year-on-year to 5.32 billion yuan ($822 million) from a revenue of 56.51 billion yuan, up 19 percent year-on-year. The revenue contributed by the e-commerce sector increased by 22 percent year-on-year.
