Game publishers on global top 100 list
Led by Tencent, 36 Chinese game publishers, including NetEase and miHoYo, netted $2.39 billion in worldwide revenue last month, thus forcing their way onto the July list of the top 100 global mobile game publishers. The 36 Chinese firms accounted for 39 percent of the total revenue generated by the 100 firms on the global App Store and Google Play in July, according to mobile app data analysis firm Sensor Tower.
PBOC holds 10b yuan worth of reverse repos
The People's Bank of China on Monday conducted 10 billion yuan ($1.54 billion) worth of seven-day, 2.2 percent reverse repos to maintain reasonably ample liquidity in the banking system. A reverse repo is a process in which the central bank purchases securities from commercial banks through bidding, with an agreement to sell them back in the future.
