A nationwide federal ban on landlords evicting tenants is set to expire on Saturday, meaning millions of American tenants who are behind on rent payments will face eviction.
The moratorium was initiated by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention last September in an effort to ease the huge number of people displaced by the COVID-19 pandemic.
