Rise in IP patents stable in first half
The country authorized 339,000 invention patents in all in the first six months of this year, according to the China National Intellectual Property Administration. By the end of June, the number of valid invention patents from China had reached 3.32 million, while the number on the Chinese mainland stood at 2.45 million, up by 23 percent year-on-year. The number of valid registered trademarks reached 33.548 million, up by 22.4 percent year-on-year.
More firms register in HK during Jan-June
The number of firms that registered in Hong Kong during the first half of this year increased by 11 percent sequentially to 56,253, official data showed. This swelled the total number of local companies to 1.38 million.
