Suspect detained over assassination
The latest suspect detained amid the search for the masterminds and assassins in the killing of President Jovenel Moise is a Haitian in his 60s living in Florida. Police identified the man as Christian Emmanuel Sanon and said Moise's alleged killers were protecting the suspect as the supposed president of Haiti. Police have found at Sanon's house in Haiti a hat emblazoned with the logo of the US Drug Enforcement Administration, 20 boxes of bullets, gun parts, four automobile license plates from the Dominican Republic, two cars and correspondence with unidentified people. Police accused Sanon of working with those who plotted and participated in Moise's killing, but gave no information on the purported masterminds.

Miami condominium collapse toll rises to 90
The death toll in the collapse of a Miami-area condominium rose to 90 on Sunday from 86, as crews continued their grim search for human remains in the building's wreckage, said Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, adding that another 31 people were still "potentially unaccounted for".While many are feared dead in the concrete and steel rubble of the 12-story oceanfront building in Surfside that partially collapsed in the early morning hours of June 24, some of the missing have been discovered through detective work, she said. The "unaccounted for "list shrank by 12 from Saturday, even as only four additional bodies were discovered. Investigators have not determined what caused part of the 40-year-old Champlain Towers South to fall apart without warning.
