Bodies of An-26 plane crash victims found

Searchers have found the bodies of nine victims a day after a plane crash in a remote area in Russia's Far East. An Antonov An-26 carrying 28 people crashed on Tuesday near its destination town of Palana in the region of Kamchatka, apparently as it came in for a landing in bad weather. Wreckage was found on Tuesday evening on a coastal cliffside and in the sea. Russian media reported on Tuesday that none of the six crew members or 22 passengers on board had survived.

8 more dead pulled from rubble of condo

The search for victims of the collapsed Miami-area condominium reached its 14th day on Wednesday, with the death toll at 36 and more than 100 people still unaccounted for, as authorities sound more and more grim. Rescuers dug through pulverized concrete on Tuesday where the Champlain Towers South building in Surfside once stood, filling buckets that were passed down a line to be emptied and then returned. It also came as rain and wind from Tropical Storm Elsa disrupted the search efforts with the storm on track to make landfall in Florida.

Tributes pour in for movie star Dilip Kumar

Tributes poured in on Wednesday from Indian actors, politicians and sports personalities after much-loved Bollywood veteran Dilip Kumar died aged 98. Born Mohammed Yusuf Khan in 1922 in Peshawar-now part of Pakistan-Kumar became a major star during the golden age of Bollywood between the 1940s and 1960s, starring in nearly 60 films in a career spanning 50 years. He was hailed as the "Tragedy King" and one of Hindi cinema's greatest actors. "Dilip Kumar... will be remembered as a cinematic legend," Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Twitter.
