On Monday, local police in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region arrested nine members of Returning Valiant, a domestic pro-“independence” organization, and a day later, the police disclosed their evil plan to make the explosive triacetone triperoxide and launch attacks on undersea tunnels, railways, courts and garbage cans to cause casualties.

That news is not surprising. Founded in mid-2020, the Returning Valiant organization has been highly radical by openly calling for violence against its home city and motherland. As early as January, its members were seen standing on the street, issuing posters that called for “armed uprising” to passersby. On April 5, it put a poster with the words “armed uprising” and photos of Hong Kong rioters on its official Facebook page.

Come on! Who would want to hold an uprising against his or her own home? Do they hate Hong Kong people so much that they want the people to become their victims?

In calling for violence, Returning Valiant does not even conceal its hate against the motherland one bit. A glimpse on its official pages on social networks will find Returning Valiant used harsh words against China on almost every major issue, from COVID-19 virus origin tracing to the West’s demonizing of Xinjiang cotton.

Hong Kong people’s reaction to the organization’s call for an “armed uprising” is rational: They just take the group as a laughingstock. A recent comment to the Returning Valiant on Facebook, from Peter Cheung, a Hong Kong local, is “Have you taken the wrong medicine?”

Yet they are cunning enough to target young people in Hong Kong. Among the nine arrested on Monday, eight are middle school students or teachers. Earlier, in May, four students arrested on suspicion of breaking into a school in Tseung Kwan O were Returning Valiant” members.

Further, local media Ta Kung Pao reported they had funding sources from overseas, and planned to flee to the UK should they faiedl. That detail is echoed by its poster on Facebook to recruit writers and poster designers.

All evidence points to the fact that Returning Valiant is fond of brainwashing students into becoming their cannon fodder. By doing so they aim to destroy Hong Kong’s future, but their evil plot will only fail because Hong Kong now has the national security law.

The rioters shall never dream to return.
