Envoys hold phone call over DPRK-related issue
Liu Xiaoming, the Chinese government's special representative on Korean Peninsula affairs, had a phone conversation on Tuesday with Sung Kim, the US State Department's special representative on policy for the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Liu gave a brief on Beijing's view on the outcome of the US' recent policy review toward the DPRK. Liu said Washington should attach importance to resolving the legitimate concerns of Pyongyang and support reconciliation between Pyongyang and Seoul. Kim said the US is committed to resolving the peninsula issue through diplomatic means and it expects to resume dialogue with the DPRK as soon as possible.

No survivors as An-26 plane wreckage found
All 28 people on board a Russian An-26 plane died when it crashed on Tuesday in the country's far east, the Interfax and RIA news agencies reported. Russia's state aviation agency said that wreckage of the plane that went missing in the Far East region of Kamchatka was found around 5 kilometers away from a runway in an airport on the Okhotsk Sea coast where it was supposed to land. The governor of Kamchatka, Vladimir Solodov, told Interfax that the aircraft's fuselage was found on land near the coast, while other wreckage was found nearby in the Okhotsk Sea.
