China sets up new IPR protection center
China has approved the establishment of an intellectual property rights protection center in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region, the National Intellectual Property Administration said on Tuesday. The first of its kind in North China, the center will provide more efficient IPR protection services for enterprises in biology and new materials sectors. According to the administration, the center is significant for building of Inner Mongolia as an important base of energy and strategic resources, as well as agricultural and livestock products.
Great Wall Motor sales rise 6.2% last month
Great Wall Motor, China's leading sport utility vehicle and pickup manufacturer, said vehicle sales grew by nearly 6.2 percent on a yearly basis in May. In a filing with the Shanghai Stock Exchange, the company said it sold 86,965 motor vehicles last month, up from 81,901 units in the same month a year ago. Great Wall Motor owns several SUV and car brands, including HAVAL, Great Wall, WEY, and ORA.
