The World Health Organization validated on Tuesday the CoronaVac COVID-19 vaccine developed by Chinese pharmaceutical company Sinovac Biotech for emergency use, making it the second Chinese vaccine to get the organization's green light. The WHO recommends the vaccine for people 18 and older, in a two-dose schedule, two to four weeks apart. On May 7, a vaccine developed by Sinopharm became the first Chinese vaccine listed for emergency use by the WHO.
