Hexi district key to promoting Tianjin’s smart development

Hexi district of Tianjin has continued to grow bigger and stronger in the field of smart technology and the innovation in information industry as it accelerates the introduction of new kinetic energy and continues to optimize its business environment.

During the fifth World Intelligence Congress held in the city May 20-23, Hexi held parallel forums that gathered academicians, enterprise leaders and specialists who shared their insights on areas such as smart cities, big data and the digital economy.

Yu Yixin, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, said smart grids are a major strategy of the energy revolution. While smart grids will stimulate technological innovation and emerging industries, they will also contribute to the carbon neutrality goal.

Zheng Weimin, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, said the digital economy will be the main driver of future economic development. New infrastructure focused on computing power will be important in providing support to the digital economy.

Chen Zhemin, a member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China Tianjin Municipal Committee, said Tianjin will be a daring pioneer in developing intelligent technologies, and will step up efforts to chart a new pattern of growth for the intelligent industry.

The metropolis has offered high-level artificial intelligence application solutions that can be replicated and promoted in key areas such as smart cities, autonomous computing power, smart ports, and the Internet of Vehicles.
