Hedong district promotes quality development of private kindergartens

Hedong district in Tianjin boasts quality pre-school education by supporting coordinated development of public and private kindergartens.

Private pres-chool education in Hedong has developed rapidly from 10 private schools in 2018 to 66 today. Adding in the public ones, the district has 90 kindergartens in total, serving more than 23,000 children.

Hedong district has established ten pre-school education alliances where demonstrative public schools with high quality resources share experience with private kindergartens regarding garden management, teacher training, educational activity design, activities, outdoor environment, conservation and health care, and canteen management.

Li Xu, head of the district's education bureau said: "Private preschools have pursued high-quality development. Entering the new stage of development, we'll further our efforts to free up educational resources and persist in implementing the new development concept in all fields and in the entire process of educational development.”

The local education bureau will conduct a two-week brand display event for private kindergartens in Hedong district from June 7- 18 to fully demonstrate the education and teaching activities of private kindergartens in the area.
