Coastal city of Lianyungang promotes its tourism in Xi'an

Lianyungang, the coastal city in East China's Jiangsu province, held a tourism industry promotion activity on May 26 in Xi'an city -- aiming to attract more tourists and further cooperate with the capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province and one of China's hottest tour destinations.

At the conference, Lianyungang plugged its history and culture, beautiful mountain and sea scenery, pristine environment and characteristic food, as well as its special tourism products.

Yang Xinzhong, member of the standing committee of the CPC Lianyungang municipal committee and director of the city's publicity department, told the promotion activity that the city is located in the middle of China's coastline and that it has a long history, profound culture and rich tourism resources.

Yang said Lianyungang is rich in cultural and tourism resources -- including cultural history, revolutionary culture, natural heritage and other special resources.
